I hope you’re staying in good health and good spirits as this year comes to a close! Recently, I sent out an end-of-year newsletter to my email subscribers and wanted to share it here as well.
I wanted to start this little note by saying that, to all those who are reading this, I am so, so grateful for your support over the past year. It’s been a busy year for this little business, and I genuinely couldn’t have gotten this far without your support, your purchases, and your kind words.
Nine Golden Swans has come a LONG way in just a short time. And there have been some pretty major changes along the way.
Not many people know this, but I was following a completely different path as 2019 came to a close. This time last year, I was busy…
- Teaching art and sewing classes…
- Sharing projects on a totally separate craft blog…
- And dreaming up new ways to bring that creative magic to a bigger community through craft workshops.
Well, in-person events turned out not to be so great for 2020.
But pausing those pursuits gave me a chance to follow a new passion around gems and jewelry.
Well, in truth, I’ve loved jewelry for as long as I can remember. But this strange year has led me to even more exciting projects, creative fulfillment, and an amazing community — all to do with jewelry.
In a matter of just a few months,
- I went from launching a jewelry blog...
- And putting myself out there on Instagram…
- To opening an Etsy shop featuring vintage finds.
I also earned a diploma through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) after taking a series of online courses covering all things gems and jewelry.
But this next part is the most exciting of all…
I’m designing an original collection of fine jewelry for Nine Golden Swans!
And it’s being made right here on Chicago’s historic Jeweler’s Row.
I’ll be sharing more updates in the coming weeks via Instagram and my new email newsletter. If you’re not already subscribed, join the waitlist and you’ll be the first to know about everything that’s happening!
But until then, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for filling this strange year with so much love and kindness. I’m hopeful that you’ll want to stick around to see more of what’s to come with Nine Golden Swans and my new endeavors in fine jewelry.
Looking forward to kicking off an even better and brighter new year with you.
